My mom was a Nurse before I was born. She used to go to hospital even her last monthsof pregnancy. So I can say my relation with medical profession starts before even I was born. When I was kid I learnt from my Mom that Nurses care for people through illness, injury, pain, loss, dying, grieving, birth, growth, aging, and health but now being a Nurse I found out that Nurses not only care for people through illness they promote health, prevent disease, and educate the public but also, a nurse interacts with family members and close friends by being empathetic to their loved one抯 illness. A nurse is honest and open to communication. This is an important role of the nurse as well as educating all people involved with the ailing person. Nursing is a profession that is not ever going to become obsolete. A nurse is the main communication link between the patient and doctor.
