They also go on to define free as, Having or existing under a government that does not impose arbitrary restrictions on the right to speak, assemble, petition, vote, ect.(New World Dictionary, Free) Throughout this slave narrative unit, I have read and discussed people who have freedom or those without, those that desired freedom or those that do not, and those that believe they are free but now when I refer the definition of free, I realize they are really not. As I discuss the theme of freedom keep in mind the similarities and differences between each person, whether individually or as a group.
