One of the important things that I learnt from this class so far is the value of art. It is not how much a painting costs or it was painted by who but it is our thinking and reflects ourselves. Through a painting, we can see the whole era as long as its changes, rises and falls. Sigmund Freud, an Austrian psychoanalyst, was the founder of the Psychoanalysis. His theories about our psychology had brought the artists new subjects and inspirations. While the theories of subconscious affected the literature in the Modern Era, his interpretation of dreams was known as a basis for a new movement in art-Surrealism.
