The company I have chosen to focus my analysis is MySpace.com. This company was founded in August 2003 by Tom Anderson and Chris Dewolf to create a social network where users could keep in touch to exchange music, videos, chat, etc. MySpace.com succeeded in its purposes and by 2006 it became the largest social network in the USA, country where it was founded. Although this firm was one of the first ones to be set up as a social network, the social network business continued growing and new companies appeared to compete into this new web market. Thus, in 2004 the first version of facebook.com was created by a Harvards?student called Mark Zuckenberg and this new social network had a huge success overtaking MySpace.com磗 privilege position in the USA and worlwide market in April 2008.
