In Macbeth ambition played a key roll in the actions and reasoning of the characters. The ambitions of the characters drove their actions and their fates. Though Macbeth is seen as the obvious choice for having the most ambition in the play Lady Macbeth can equally be credited for having an inordinate desire for what she wanted. Some may regard the actions of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth as being more stubborn, relentless, and narrow-minded that ambitious, I see their actions as strong determination and over ambitiousness.
