Background Analysis:
Radio (The First Broadcast Medium) "is the system or work of broadcasting sound programmes for the public to listen to "(Cambridge Dictionaries Online 2009). The 20th Century, especially during the decade of the 1920s, was a significant milestone for advancements in the media - radio. The industry was taken over by big business groups and together with technological advancements, significant improvements were made - electronic duplication of content for the first time, improved reception performance, introduction of commercials and the Federal Radio Commission (FDC) was created to regulate radio use. Towards the end of the 20th Century, radio has moved slowly into the digital age, with Satellite radio and Internet-based radio being introduced and this marks the next evolution of the medium.
