Jamieson’s Run owner Kym Earl said the mobile animal farm was always a popular site at the family-orientated event.
“We’ve been coming for about eight years now,” she said.
“Both the little kids and the bigger ones seem to enjoy it, and the parents and grandparents love the excitement on the children’s faces.”
Sheep, goats, alpacas and hens are among the animals at this year’s field days.
“The kids particularly love the chooks,” Mrs Earl said.
“They like to pick them up – and if they don’t hold their wings they get feather dustered, which is pretty funny.”
Mrs Earl said the children also enjoyed the animals’ different textures.
“The goats are cashmere and the kids love how soft they feel,” she said.
“The animals eat of the children’s hands, so they enjoy feeding them as well.
“The animals are all super friendly.”
Jamieson’s Run is located inField Days Square.
