SHOALHAVEN City Council has received a development application for the construction of a new bulky goods retail building on the Princes Highway at South Nowra.
The cleared site at 285 Princes Highway has prominent frontage on the eastern side of the highway.
Lee Carmichael Town Planning has lodged the application on behalf of the property owners Barlow International and will see the demolition of an existing house on the property and construction a new building and eight car parking spaces.
The plans include the floor space for a loading zone, bulky goods retailing space, amenities including staffroom and bathroom facilities, as well as a mezzanine floor.
The total area of the building is 400 square metres and a mezzanine area of 120 square metres.
The application states no tenant has been secured for the proposed building.
The project is valued at $450,000.
