Northern Suburbs (805), City United (786) and Western Suburbs (735) are all in the hunt for the 2014-2015 prize heading into the final round.

Defending champions Norths are aiming for their fourth crown in five seasons and lead by 19 points over second-placed City United, who are chasing their first since 1989-1990, with 2012-2013 winners Wests a further 51 behind.

Norths increased their advantage by just five points over City last weekend after the clubs went head-to-head in all five grades.

First and third grades went to Norths with City claiming victory in seconds, fourths and fifths.

However, this Saturday the lads from Lorn will contest all grades except fourths while City will only be in action once with firsts, seconds, thirds and fifths having a bye.

Wests have the chance to secure maximum points with teams playing all five grades.

Kurri Weston (658), Raymond Terrace (635), Eastern Suburbs (447) and Thornton Park (422) round out the district standings.

In other cricket news, Maitland’s under-21 representative side were beaten by 146-runs in the 2TMO Cup final played against Tamworth 2nd XI at Scone on Sunday.

Batting first Tamworth 2nd XI were dismissed for 207 in the 49th over with Maitland skipper Mitch Fisher and Tim Burton both taking three wickets each.

Maitland were bundled out for 61 in reply after taking out the Hunter Valley colts title in emphatic fashion a fortnight ago.

And finally John Bull Shield winners Cessnock (217) went down by 14 runs to War Veteran Cup champions Tamworth (231) in the Coal Board Cup decider, which was also played at Scone on Sunday.
